Most comfortable gaming chairs in 2024:
The best comfortable gaming chair.
Fractal Design Refine specifications:
Maximum weight |
125kg |
Recline |
0° |
Materials |
Fabric, mesh or faux suede seat and back options |
Warranty |
5 years |
Pros
- Incredible comfort
- Great, stylish design
- Sliding headrest
Cons
- No recline (only tilts)
- Only one size, but adjustable seat base length
Offering great comfort at an affordable price, the Fractal Design Refine is our top choice for a comfortable gaming chair. With a sleek, stylish design that looks more appealing than similar chairs, this only falls flat in a few places.
The incredibly comfy seat base and an equally luxurious curved back you when you're playing your favorite games, making sitting on it an absolute treat. Unfortunately, you can't recline it all the way to lay down, but if you're hoping for a great seat to work and play on, this is it.
With options between mesh, fabric, or a faux suede finish, the Fractal Design Refine only loses points for its one size and lack of reclining. But, if you're hoping for top-tier comfort, there isn't anything better.

Most customizatable gaming chair.
Secretlab TITAN Evo (2022) specifications:
Maximum weight |
90kg (small) / 100kg (regular) / 190kg (XL) |
Recline |
165° |
Materials |
Leatherette, Fabric, or NAPA Leather |
Warranty |
3-5 years |
Pros
- Plenty of design options
- Incredible build quality
- Different sizes for a range of people
Cons
- Expensive starting price
- Additional features are costly
Secretlab offers some of the best gaming chairs on the market, and as a bonus, they're also some of the most comfortable to sit in. I find the Secretlab TITAN Evo SoftWeave to be the best option – but that's what Secretlab does brilliantly, giving everyone options to create their perfect chair.
Of course, more features mean additional costs and the base price is already costly. However, the superb build quality makes for a long-lasting chair, alongside the fact that it's very easy to relax in this incredible throne. Something you don't have to wait long for thanks to its easy-to-build assembly.
I'd go with the SoftWeave material alongside Technogel armrests for the most comfortable experience, but leatherette is still a very relaxing experience in my opinion. They're so good, I bought a new one and sent my old one to a family member.

The most comfortable mid-range chair
Corsair T100 Relaxed specifications:
Maximum weight |
120kg |
Recline |
160° |
Materials |
PU fabric or leather |
Warranty |
2 years |
Pros
- Affordable price
- Great materials
- Good lumbar
Cons
- 2D armrests
- Rigid neck cushion
When it comes to comfort, more options usually make for a better chair. However, that's not always the case, and if you're on a budget, the Corsair T100 Relaxed is a great pick to pair with your gaming setup.
2D armrests may make the overall package a little bit worse for value, but you're getting excellent lumbar with great materials at an affordable price. The warranty is shorter than most chairs, but the lower cost makes it hard to up on this excellent gaming seat.

Boulies Master 2024 specifications:
Maximum weight |
135kg |
Recline |
165° |
Materials |
PU leather, fabric, or NAPA leather |
Warranty |
2 years (can extend by 12 months) |
Pros
- Very comfortable seat
- Brilliant tilt-rocking function
- Excellent lumbar
Cons
- Not the cheapest option
- Fairly big and bulky
Sometimes a good ol' office chair is enough for both work and play, and the Boulies Master 2024 is the embodiment of that. If you're looking for a typical gaming chair, this might not be your favorite option on our list, but there aren't many chairs that are more comfortable than this.
With a very comfortable seat base, excellent lumbar , and 4D armrests, this is a truly comfy chair. ittedly, these amazing features do come at a price – one that may be a bit high for some people – but we're adamant you'll love this option.
We don't recommend it if you prefer slimmer, more sleek chairs, as the big and bulky nature of the Boulies Master makes for a very large gaming throne. Aside from that, if you're looking for an incredible office-style chair, this is it.

How to choose the most comfortable gaming chair
It can be a very daunting task to find the most comfortable gaming chairs on the market, especially as some of the more options can get expensive. However, we strongly suggest taking a look at your needs to find out which is the best option for you.
Whether you're looking for a stylish option with some comfort, full lumbar , or a certain material that feels right for you, we recommend researching what features you're keen to have in your comfy chair first and foremost. Alternatively, take a look at our various options above, read the reviews, and find out which one you'd like to order.
I'd suggest paying at least $250 (£200) for a quality chair. I've had a couple of budget-friendly options under the $150 mark and found them to be missing out on key features like good lumbar , or the materials weren't what I was hoping for. My personal favorite is the Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022, but there are plenty of products on the market.
Most comfortable gaming chair FAQs
What chairs are most comfortable for gaming?
Our top pick is the Fractal Design Refine, which offers a sleek design and a very comfortable build. While it only comes in one size, the chair is our favorite for comfort, but the Secretlab TITAN Evo is a very close second, especially if you want different sizes or other customization options.
What is the most comfortable material for gaming chairs?
Personally, I'd go with a fabric chair over anything else. Fabric is a great material throughout all seasons, with it being breathable during the hot months, and cozy during the cold. Fabric offers great amounts of durability, and some of the more options, like Secretlab, have stronger fabrics like SoftWeave.
Are gaming chairs better with or without lumbar cushions?
That's a personal choice. Personally, I use the built-in lumbar on my Secretlab TITAN Evo, as I find it the most comfortable option – and adding cushions can make me lean forward more often than I'd like. We'd recommend looking at specific lumbar cushions as opposed to grabbing a random couch cushion if you decide to use one.
