The new Diablo 4 Berserk crossover skins will cost you up to $150

New Diablo 4 Berserk cosmetics arrive in the Blizzard RPG, but the options have a total price tag that could set you back $150.

The Diablo 4 Berserk crossover has arrived in Sanctuary, but it proves a rather expensive outing if you're looking to dress up for the occasion. While the legendary manga series created by Kentaro Miura has long inspired many games, including Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy, and Dragon's Dogma, it's now making an official appearance in Blizzard's ongoing ARPG. There are certainly some impressive cosmetics on offer here, but the price tag is leaving a sour taste in the mouth.

The Diablo 4 classes; you're out of luck this time around. The four class armor sets come in at 2,800 Platinum each, as does the new pet The Schnoz, while the Warhorse of the Hawk bundle is 2,500.

That totals to 16,500 Platinum, all in all. While Blizzard offers several bundles in the Season 8 Reliquaries – Blizzard's new battle replacement – offer just 200, less than previous installments, and that's presuming you don't spend any of it to unlock the tiers.

Of course, there are no gameplay benefits on sale here, and even if you fancy one item, you don't have to buy everything; arguably, given that two of the sets are for Rogue, it might be a little pointless to do so. But for some context, the Diablo 4 expansion bundle, which includes the base game and the Vessel of Hatred Expansion, is priced at $69.99 / £59.99 on the Blizzard store (and is currently on sale for less). That means you're looking at more than double the price of Diablo 4 and its DLC for these cosmetics.

The response from places such as the Diablo Reddit has been largely negative. Several s express looking forward to the event, only to be turned off by the cost. "I really wanted to buy the pet and expected a price of ten bucks," writes one player in a discussion thread about the new cosmetics, "noped out really fast after seeing the real price they chose."

Perhaps the most frustrating part to me is that the small number of in-game Berserk items that can be earned by playing, and the associated Diablo 4 Twitch drops for the event, are the least interesting unlocks on offer. With just a few trophies and markings to go on your player or mount, and no actual armor skins or weapons up for grabs, there isn't too much incentive to actually get involved in the crossover if you aren't looking to spend any money.

Diablo 4 Berserk skins - A set of items in the Blizzard ARPG's shop.

With Overwatch 2 having embraced numerous pop-culture crossovers, including the likes of Transformers, One-Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and K-pop group Le Sserafim, perhaps this is the start of a new trend for Diablo 4. Berserk, to its credit, feels like a perfect fit for the world of Sanctuary, but I'll be curious to see where Blizzard is prepared to draw the line in the future.

Keep an eye out for the best games like Diablo for plenty more excellent ARPGs.
