What are the Doom The Dark Ages wolf statue locations? id Software loves an environmental puzzle, almost as much as it loves cramming secrets into every nook and cranny of its maps. The Dark Ages sports bigger levels than ever, meaning more space to hide its hounds.

Doom The Dark Ages wolf statues
The Doom The Dark Ages wolf statues belong to a series of environmental puzzles that require you to throw your shield at hidden statues, destroying them and restoring the spectral wolf effigies guarding their reward.
There are four Doom The Dark Ages missions that host wolf statue puzzles: Siege – Part 1 (Chapter 6), Ancestral Forge (Chapter 9), The Kar'Thul Marshes (Chapter 16), and Resurrection (Chapter 20). You can quickly get to the mission you're playing using the handy jumplinks below.
Siege – Part 1
Siege – Part 1 houses three wolf statues, configured in a small triangle so that they're easily found. This is the first time we encounter the mechanic, hence the lack of difficulty. Finding all three rewards you with a Ruby.
First wolf statue
Siege – Part 1's first wolf statue is located up on a small ledge, which you can spot coming down the ramp from the wolf effigies.
Second wolf statue
Siege – Part 1's second wolf statue is found in the water directly below and behind the wolf effigy ledge, hugging its wall.
Third wolf statue
Siege – Part 1's third wolf statue can be found by heading left from the second statue, into the small boot-shaped crevice. The statue is obscured by a large rock and a couple of barrels.
Ancestral Forge
Although there are still only three wolf statues to find in the Ancestral Forge, they are considerably further apart from one another than they were in Siege – Part 1. You'll also have to do a little more legwork in the ripping and tearing, and secret-hunting departments. Finding all three rewards you with a Wraithstone.
First wolf statue
Ancestral Forge's first wolf statue can be spotted up on a ledge above the wolf effigies.
Second wolf statue
Ancestral Forge's second wolf statue requires you to get your hands bloody, clearing out a major combat encounter before the game will let you sling your shield at it.
Third wolf statue
Ancestral Forge's third and final wolf statue can't be accessed until you find the mission's secret key. Once you've tracked it down, retrace your steps to the beginning of the mission and crack open the gate, unlocking the path to the statue.
The Kar'Thul Marshes
Sporting a whopping five wolf statues, The Kar'Thul Marshes is the biggest challenge you'll face on your wolf statue hunting quest. Should you prove successful, you'll be rewarded with a Wraithstone.
First wolf statue
The Kar'Thul Marshes' first wolf statue is a suspiciously simple find. As soon as the level starts, hook left, and you'll see it.
Second wolf statue
The Kar'Thul Marshes' second wolf statue is anything but simple to spot, and easily missed if you don't know where to look. Head to the spot on the map above and look down from the ledge. There, you'll see the statue tucked away.
Third wolf statue
The Kar'Thul Marshes' third wolf statue is surrounded by tentacles in a marshy area, so watch out for the sprouting tendrils as you approach it.
Fourth wolf statue
The Kar'Thul Marshes' fourth wolf statue requires a similar approach to the mission's second. Head to the curved section shown on the map, and peer over the edge of the cliff to find the out-of-bounds statue.
Fifth wolf statue
The Kar'Thul Marshes' fifth and final wolf statue can be found down a tunnel near the central shrine.
Resurrection
Resurrection's wolf statue puzzle almost feels anti-climactic after The Kar'Thul Marshes. With only four wolves to track down within a much smaller radius, you'll have those effigies restored in no time. Doing so rewards you with a Wraithstone.
First wolf statue
Resurrection's first wolf statue can be found in the chamber running adjacent to the wolf effigies, behind a group of pesky cultists.
Second wolf statue
Resurrection's second wolf statue sits on top of the map's boundary, just above a fat stack of gold.
Third wolf statue
Resurrection's third wolf statue lives in a tunnel running beneath a bridge.
Fourth wolf statue
Resurrection's fourth and final wolf statue can be found by heading up and over the aforementioned bridge, between a couple of tree stumps.
