Fortnite's Arcane skins return "won't be happening" anytime soon, Riot confirms

Riot Games confirms that there are currently no plans for the Fortnite Vi and Jinx skins from the League of Legends show Arcane to return.

Missing out on Fortnite skins you really wanted is frustrating, but in most cases there's a chance that they'll make a return to the battle royale in future updates. Unfortunately, if you didn't get your hands on the Fortnite Vi and Jinx skins that dropped alongside the first season of hit League of Legends Netflix show Arcane, you're seemingly out of luck for now.

Arcane Jinx came to battle royale game with Chapter 3 Season 1, which followed directly after. The pair were each available for 1,500 V-Bucks or in bundles priced at 1,800 V-Bucks that included additional gear such as emotes, pickaxes, and back bling.

Since their departure, Jinx and Vi have been among the most-requested free PC game. Now, Riot Games co-founder and O Marc 'Tryndamere' Merrill says it's unlikely we'll get another chance to pick up the Fortnite Arcane skins any time soon.

Merrill had recently responded to an X comment asking about the skins saying he would "check in on where we landed with the team." He's now returned with bad news. "Since then, Fortnite has evolved a ton with new experiences and collabs, and we've had a lot of conversations with Epic about what might be possible. They've been great partners, but we haven't been able to find the right fit to bring the Arcane skins back and it unfortunately won't be happening in the foreseeable future.

"We know there's been a lot of love for these – and we really appreciate how much you all care and how much effort you've put into advocating for their return," Merrill concludes. "If anything changes in the future we'll let you know ASAP."

It's unclear exactly why the skins aren't making a return, then, although it seems Epic Games and Riot were unable to come to an agreement on that both were satisfied with. For now, the next expected crossover is the return of Fortnite x WWE, which leakers report will include Cody Rhodes and The Undertaker as the former prepares to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena at WrestleMania 41.
