Helldivers 2 patch brings back the Terminids alongside a new way to fight them

Arrowhead's newest Helldivers 2 patch makes stealth just a bit easier, right as the Terminids decide to come and attack Super Earth.

Now that The Illuminate has been pushed back from Super Earth, we've got a bigger problem. The Terminids are suddenly coming for Helldivers 2's home of democracy, but luckily for us, Arrowhead has just massively upgraded the game's stealth detection system to help us out. So if you've stepped away from the fight, this is the time to jump back in.

Going forward, when you're near spawners in the Helldivers 2, where sneaking gives you some huge benefits.

"Enemies will no longer automatically detect you when you're near Terminid spawners or spawners that generate flying enemies. Instead, these spawners will now only activate if an enemy has already identified you as a target," Arrowhead writes.

"Previously, simply being within 200 meters of certain spawner types - such as flying enemy spawners, Stalker lairs, or inside Terminid locations - would trigger immediate enemy spawns and reveal your location. This update shifts detection to a more logical, line-of-sight or alert-based system, reducing arbitrary auto-detection mechanics and improving stealth gameplay."

Alongside this change, Automaton Fabricators will now spawn enemies at a more consistent rate, so you've got smoother pacing and feel more engaged in a fight. That's not all, however, as you can now ister health stims while mid-dive, giving you yet another excuse to look incredibly cool.

A couple of armor ives have also been improved with this patch, so you'll want to get them equipped. Integrated Explosions now also increases your initial grenade and holding capacity by two, while Unflinching increases armor rating by 25 and helps map markers generate a radar scan that shows nearby enemies every two seconds.

The latest Helldivers 2 patch and Major Order to defend Super Earth from the Terminids are both live in the game right now.
