Steam start selling software

Valve was the kid at school who jumped out at you from behind corners, not to scare you but to give you a cake. They've done it again, without warning they've opened up the software shopfront on the Steam market. They're offering freebies, trials and full on purchases.

Check out their stock below.

There aren't a great number of products on offer but what they've chosen seems representative of the clientele they're wanting to cater for:

  • GameMaker Studio
  • 3D-Coat
  • ArtRage Studio Pro
  • 3DMark Vantage
  • 3DMark 11
  • CameraBag 2
  • Source Filmmaker

Valve are trying to indie development andbring modding back, or at least foster the diminished community into something healthy,so it makes a good deal of sense for them to be selling tools to make more games.
